Non-Native in Florida
Rosary pea is a vine of disturbed
sites, frequent in central and southern Florida. Native to the Old World, this is the only Abrus
species in Florida (Wunderlin, 1998). Rosary pea is present in FL, AL, AR, GA, HI, PR and the
Virgin Islands (Kartesz, 1999).
