Native to Florida
Yellow jessamine occurs in
flatwoods and hammocks, and blooms in winter through spring. There are two species of
Gelsemium in Florida (Wunderlin, 1998). Yellow jessamine is found in the southeast U.S.
(Kartesz, 1999).
