These are images of St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge, Florida.
St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge encompasses 67,000 acres, half woodlands and half marshes and water. More than a third of the refuge is designated "wilderness". Seven rivers cross the refuge, providing habitat to wintering birds. The refuge is home to more than 430 species, excluding fish.
The refuge is open for daylight use all year. It includes a visitor center and picnic facilities. The refuge is open for wildlife observation, fishing, crabbing, boating, hiking, camping and hunting. The Florida National Scenic Trail, a footpath the length of the state, passes through the refuge (Florida Trail Association).
