Sesbania vesicaria is found in moist, disturbed sites and is frequent from the peninsula to the central and western panhandle of Florida (Wunderlin, 2003). It blooms from spring to fall and is equally likely to occur in wetlands or non-wetlands. Bladderpod is located in Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, North & South Carolina, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas (Kartesz, 1999).
