Gulf cord grass is one of
five native cord grasses in Florida. It is occasional in salt marshes and dunes
in the central and southern peininsula and panhandle of Florida (Wunderlin, 2003). It is also present in AL, MS, LA, and TX
(Kartesz, 1999).
It blooms in the summer through fall and occurs almost always (estimated probability 99%) under natural conditions in wetlands.
