Research and extension on biological control of invasive plants. Current activities include foreign exploration for natural enemies of air potato and hydrilla in Africa, laboratory evaluation of Brazilian peppertree natural enemies, rearing and post-release evaluation of a natural enemy of tropical soda apple, and ecology of Hymenachne amplexicaulis and its adventive insect herbivore, Ischnodemus variegatus.
