Cross vine is a vine that occurs frequently in floodplain forests and wet hammocks of the northern counties of Florida, south to the central peninsula. It blooms in the spring. There is only one species of Bignonia in Florida (Wunderlin, 2003). Cross vine is present in the southeastern U.S., as well as IL, IN, MD, and OH (Kartesz, 1999).
