Downloading and Licensing of Images from the Center for Aquatic & Invasive Plants

CAIP plant images and line drawings include aquatic, wetland, native and non-native species. Additionally, there are a number of scenic photos from around Florida. Most are available for use, as long as certain guidelines are followed (see below).

  • NON-COMMERCIAL use is permitted for up to 10 images . They may be used directly from the website as long as requestors follow these guidelines. Use of more than 10 images in a single project requires written permission. High-resolution images are also available for non-profit educational purposes, on a limited basis, as time allows. To obtain permission, complete the on-line form or print/fax it to CAIP (see number below).
  • Available Images On-line image request form Image Use Guidelines (PDF)
  • COMMERCIAL use of images requires written permission from CAIP and involves a usage fee of $100 per image. This fee covers one-time use only, unless otherwise approved by CAIP staff. High-resolution versions are available upon request and are included in the fee. To obtain permission, complete the on-line form or print/fax it to CAIP (see number below).
  • Note: Licensing income from use of these photos is the primary source of funding for our photography and illustration endeavors. Knowledgeable individuals will recognize that our fee is about one third the cost of commercial image vendors.
