Papyrus on Lake Victoria, Africa. 1997.

Shallow bays and lake edges of Lake Victoria, Africa, are frequently dominated by papyrus. Here, the papyrus fringe is bordered on the lake side by another fringe of water hyacinths. These water hyacinth plants typically remain in close proximity to the papyrus fringe, as less entangled water hyacinth plants are added and removed by lake winds.
