Species Overview

White mangrove is one of four tree species in Florida referred to as “mangroves”. It is frequent in the tidal swamps of the central and southern peninsula (Wunderlin, 2003). It also occurs in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands (Kartesz, 1999). White mangrove blooms in the spring.
