Native to Florida
It is a low shrub that trails on the ground with ascending tips and is usually no taller than about 1m, with stems angled. Leaves are opposite, ovate to broadly lanceolate, dark green 2-8 cm long, margins distincly toothed (Wunderlin,1998,Nelson,1996).
