Tradescantia ohiensis
common spiderwort
Native to Florida
This native is frequent to disturbed sites from northern Florida, south
to the central peninsula (Wunderlin, 1998). It flowers in the spring.
There are more than 30 species of Tradescantia in the U.S.; 9 of them
occurring in Florida. This species, common spiderwort, may be found in all
states of the eastern half of the U.S. (Kartesz, 1999).
