Non-Native in Florida

Elephant ear is another non-native escaped from cultivation in Florida. It looks much like another non-native, wild taro, except that elephant ear leaves are as big as...elephant ears.

Elephant ear occasionally may be found in swamps and along stream banks. It is native to the West Indies. In Florida, elephant ear flowers from spring to summer.
