Species Overview

The native rain lily is frequent in the moist flatwoods of northern and central Florida, west to the panhandle. It flowers in the spring and usually occurs in wetlands (estimated probability 67%-99%), but is occasionally found in non-wetlands. Rain lily is listed as a threatened species in the Preservation of Native Flora of Florida Act.
