Cayla Romano

Cayla Romano is the Communications Specialist at the UF/IFAS Center for Aquatic and Invasive Plants. In her role, she works on various communication projects for the Center, including illustrations, photography, and videography. She can also be found behind the scenes editing the UF/IFAS CAIP podcast, Working in the Weeds.

Originally from Long Island, New York, Cayla traveled down to Florida in 2018 to pursue her bachelor’s degree in agricultural education and communication at the University of Florida. After discovering a love for science communication, she is continuing her education at UF to pursue a master’s degree in the same field. A wildlife photographer and avid birder, she loves being outside and appreciating our natural world.
