Species Overview

Laurel oak is commonly found in floodplain forests and wet to dry hammocks throughout Florida (Wunderlin, 2003). It blooms in the spring.

Quercus laurifolia is located throughout the southeastern United States and as far north as Pennsylvania (Kartesz, 1999).
